Word of Mouth Advertising in 3 Steps

The best form of advertising is "word of mouth" advertising, also known as the personal referral. Bottom line, word of mouth works. Especially for creative businesses, or any businesses that are just starting out. The problem is many make a simple mistake that prevents them from realizing the power of word of mouth advertising, and that mistake is thinking of it as a passive tool of advertising when it is actually active.Of course some referrals will fall into your lap due to your reputation, your great work, and you're amazing website designed by AudioLogic! Follow these 3 simple steps and you'll be one step closer to you're next successful referral:

1. It Doesn't Hurt to Ask:

Always ask your clients for referrals, especially if you are in sales. Simply ask them if they know anyone else who needs work in your field.

2. Give them an incentive:

If there's something in it for them, then they are sure to be motivated to find you work. This can be money, movie tickets, gift certificates, event tickets, or something more related to your field of work.

3. Grease the wheels:

Don't just tell the client to spread the word, assist the process by giving them extra business cards to give to their friends, flyers, postcards, or whatever else you have that will help! Whatever marketing material you carry, give it to them and ask that they pass it along! The easier it is for them to spread the word, the easier they will find you your next client.

The Emotional Power of a Logo

The power of a logo is often overlooked and underestimated by many business owners. Your companies logo is wrapped around your entire brand, and will create brand identity and recognition. This makes it much easier for potential clients to remember who you are, as well as maintaining current clients ongoing trust. It is very important that you use your company logo in any brochures, advertisements, newsletters etc. This will ensure that each document is consistent and your business looks credible.

As for your current logo you should be asking yourself if your logo has the customer reaction you are looking for compared to competitor logos. There is a powerful subconscious that comes along with Brand Identity and logos. In an interesting study, according to a study by researches at Duke University have found that exposure to a particular logo (Apple/IBM is used in the article) a logo can trigger an emotional response, and can result in behavioral changes. Read the full article

I will expand further on the logo creation process in a future blog article, and focus on how to ensure that your vision is matched when developing one.

AudioLogic has a new family member! We introduced a new mascot today: Al the elephant. This has been a concept for quite sometime and Jason recently worked his magic and drew this little guy and vectored him out and through some collaberative brainstorming with him and I, here is the final version! We may still make some changes and add somethings to his character, so I'm sure he will evolve. Let us know what you guys think!

Why Your Companies Web Presence Is So Important

Your company's website is going to do one of two things. One, your website will instantly encourage confidence and trust to your potential customers. Visitors will want to make purchases, and inquire about your services. On the other hand, it will simply send them away, bags packing. The internet is incredibly competitive, so it is imperative for your company to have an attractive, solid, professional presence on the web.

With so much competition on the net, there are countless other options for your potential clients to choose from. It is simple for them to not to business with you when a better site is one click away. Internet users are becoming more savvy every day, and it is becoming even more important to have a unique website that stands above your competition.

Your website should convince them to do business because it looks professional. If your website is solid, and professional, your visitor will automatically assume that you possess the same qualities. A great website will give you confidence in your companies success, as well as provide customers confidence in your service, and your brand. If your website looks cheap, or average, customers will automatically feel as if your product will not meet their needs.

After all, if it looks like you can't afford a decent looking website, then why would you be able to provide them with a quality product or service? Potential customers come on to your site with an open mind about your product. If their first impression is a professional looking website developed specifically for your company, they will trust that you hold the key to provide them with a first rate service to match your first rate website. If you want a first rate website what should you do? Contact AudioLogic of course.
